Jake McCabe Crushes Charlie Lindgren With Must-See Massive Hit
The NHL is by far the fastest, most physical league in the world when it comes to ice hockey. Tonight Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe showed once again why you have to keep your head up in this league.
McCabe Blows Up Lindgren With Massive Body Check
The play came as the Rangers were attempting to enter the Leafs zone. Lindgren was carrying the puck across the blueline when he then turned his head to make a drop pass after gaining the zone. McCabe was already lining him up for a hit and he went through with it, catching Lindgren looking the other way with a massive clean hit to the chest.
An absolute beauty of a hit from Jake McCabe. There is a big part of me that really enjoys old school hockey. So I love seeing this once in a while.
Mika Zibanejad immediately went after McCabe in defense of his teammates, but he picked up an extra minor penalty on the play, giving the Leafs another power play.
The Leafs went on to win the game 7-3. Martin Jones picked up his second win with the Leafs, his first in a game that he started.
