After several incredible seasons in Calgary, defenseman Noah Hanifin made his intentions of not re-signing in Calgary clear this summer, and now, we may know where he's headed next.

According to Eklund of Hockey Buzz, the Flames and Nashville Predators are deep in talks to send the 26-year old to Tennessee, as he could become their top defenseman alongside Roman Josi for years to come.

An intriguing deal

While Nashville don't have the future's that a team like Buffalo do to make a deal, they certainly have some talented pieces, with this set up as a rumoured trade for Hanifin.

Calgary Receives: Dante Fabbro, 2025 first-round pick, future assets.

Nashville receives: Noah Hanifin.

Both teams could come out winners in this deal, with different franchise trajectories over the next few seasons, and with many assets on the move in a potential deal, it could change their fortunes in a big way.
