Connor McDavid Loses Out On Another Championship

Connor McDavid is widely considered to be the most talented hockey player to ever take the ice. He has a multitude of individual accomplishments, including Hart Trophies Ted Lindsay Awards and more.

But team success has routinely avoided him with the Edmonton Oilers. He has yet to win a Stanley Cup since he arrived in the league in 2015, and the closest he has come is a sweep at the hands of the 2022 Colorado Avalanche

And now in the summer, he has lost another bug game, although probably not one he'll lose much sleep over.

Beer League Loss

McDavid was the part of the losing team in a 9-4 defeat.

In a video published online, McDavid and fellow NHLer Quinton Byfield participate with Byfield's team coming out on top.

Even though he lost what can be considered a meaningless game, McDavid was still flying on the ice according to a spectator.

"Connor was playing at 00.3% effort and STILL made everyone else look like they had polio," wrote user thedannygexperience.

Major Expectations

McDavid's Oilers have a huge season ahead of them, with high hopes for the team's first Stanley Cup since 1990.

The Oilers brought in McDavid's Erie Otters teammate Connor Brown for offensive depth.

You know Oiler fans will be anxiously awaiting the start of next season.
