Big scoop on Matvei Michkov and the Montreal Canadiens
While we get the impression that Kent Hughes is doing everything in his power to get ahead of the Habs in the draft rankings and avoid Matvei Michkov, it would appear that this is not his number one source of motivation.
In fact, according to IB The Gambler, the Habs are reportedly very interested in the young Russian player.
Remember that this is the same account that first broke the scoop on the Martin St-Louis signing.
We learned this week that Michkov wouldn't agree to talk to all the teams when he came to Nashville for the draft. So it looks like the Habs will have a chance to talk to him.
It's a story to be followed, but it's still important to know that the team is interested in such a talented player.
