The AHL has taken action by suspending Chicago Wolves' head coach, Bob Nardella, for ten games following his use of a homophobic slur directed at a referee.

Homophobia isn't welomed anywhere, including in sports. The AHL released the following statement:
"In a press release, the AHL says it "is committed to building a culture that is safe, inclusive and free from abuse, harassment and all forms of unethical behavior or misconduct."
Nardella can participate in non-game day practices and return to the Wolves bench on Jan. 6."
