Alex Ovechkin with a filthy shootout move in a farewell game
Alex Ovechkin will be 38 in September, but don't think he'll be slowing down just yet. The Capitals' captain is on a mission to break Wayne Gretzky's record.
And just as well, since he still has three seasons left on his contract and only 74 goals to score to surpass La Merveille. Given that the lowest total of goals he's scored in an 82-game season is 32, this should be a formality.
Present at a Danis Zaripov farewell game with other familiar faces, including Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alexander Semin and Ilya Kovalchuk, Ovy wowed the gallery with a superb shoot-out goal.
