This afternoon the Winnipeg Jets have given a huge update on the health of forward Nikolaj Ehlers as the team takes on the St. Louis Blues. The Winnipeg Jets have been without Nikolaj Ehlers for several days after he suffered an injury on April 3rd and played just over 12 minutes in that game. Since then Ehlers has continued to be evaluated by the medical staff and has been on a day-to-day basis regarding his availability for practice and games. With puck drop set for 7:30 eastern tonight the Jets gave a sneak peek into their lineup tonight and Ehlers status for the big game against the Blues.
Winnipeg Jets Provide A Major Update On Nikolaj Ehlers
For morning skate today before the contest against St. Louis both Ehlers and defenseman Neal Pionk were full participants in practice.

Loading from Twitter ...

After practice head coach Scott Arniel addressed the media and confirmed that despite skating today Ehlers will remain a game time decision while Pionk remains out.

Loading from Twitter ...

This was then also later confirmed by the Jets social media team as well who put out the team's projected lineup.

Loading from Twitter ...

With puck drop just a couple of hours away it would be great to see Ehlers on the ice against the Blues but the Jets are in a position where they don't need to rush him back. If one more game off means a healthier Ehlers for the playoffs we could see him sit out just one more contest. As his status is confirmed we will pass along the latest news on Ehlers' status and return to the lineup.
