The Winnipeg Jets, who won the President's Trophy last year, have finalized a five year contract extension for captain Adam Lowry per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman.

Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry is going to be staying in the only NHL home that he's ever played for during his career.
Lowry, who could have become a free agent this summer, has been signed to a five year extension with an AAV (average annual value) of $5 million per; the contract will start before next season.
NHL analyst Darren Dreger also confirmed the news:
The Jets announce at a Gala in Winnipeg they have extended captain Adam Lowry. 5 year ext. $5 million AAV. $25 million total. Superb value for a key piece on and off the ice for the Jets.
It was NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman who initially reported that the two sides were close to an extension.
Lowry was named the captain of the Jets in September of 2023. He's the third captain in team history behind Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler.

Adam Lowry Has Played His Entire NHL Career With The Jets

Lowry was taken by the Jets with the 67th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire career in a Winnipeg sweater.
Last year, he led the Jets to their first President's Trophy win in team history, and an appearance in the WCSF.
He underwent hip surgery in May and missed the first several games of this season; he has played in just seven games so far and has two assists.
So far in his NHL career, Lowry has 276 points (122G, 154A) in 782 games.
