The Winnipeg Jets are expected to be one of the top contenders for the Stanley Cup in 2026, and new Jet Tanner Pearson commented on capturing another Cup.

Earlier this offseason, the Winnipeg Jets inked veteran forward Tanner Pearson to a one-year contract.
With that comes sky-high expectations for what is to come with the Jets this year. Specifically, the expectation of winning a Stanley Cup with the Jets and bringing Lord Stanley back to Canada.
In a recent interview with Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press, Pearson commented on wanting to win the Stanley Cup again.
"I want to get that (feeling) back again. It's the best feeling in the world. A few of us have that experience, and it would be awesome to experience it again." - Tanner Pearson

Pearson won the Cup early in his career with the LA Kings in 2014, over a decade ago. Since then, Pearson has gone on to have quite an illustrious career playing with the Kings, the Penguins, the Canucks, the Canadiens, and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Alternate Captain Mark Scheifele commented on what Pearson brings to the Jets lineup, exciting fans.
"«Honestly, he kind of does everything, he shoots the puck well, he can play up and down the lineup. Obviously, I know him very well. I played up with his team in minor hockey a number of times, so I've known him for a very, very long time.

Obviously, I played with him in junior. He brings experience. He's won a cup. He's a guy that you can plug in anywhere and he will do well. He battles hard. Having guys like that, especially during a long season, is very crucial." - Mark Scheifele on Tanner Pearson

Pearson scored 12 goals and 27 points last year in Vegas, establishing himself as one of the premier bottom-six forwards in the NHL. He will look to chip in on the Jets' power play and penalty kill this year and hopes to help the Jets on a deep run.
