Winnipeg Jets Confirm Nikolaj Ehlers' Status For Game 5
According to multiple sources Nikolaj Ehlers skated today in a non contact jersey but will not be ready to play in tonight's Game 5 against the St. Louis Blues.
While it is disappointing that Ehlers will not be available for tonight's game it is a promising sign that he has now returned to skating and doing individual drills.
This likely means that Ehlers could return sooner than everyone initially thought when he suffered his injury.
Without Ehlers the Jets have struggled to find a way to close out games offensively and shown a real need for another dynamic winger in the top-six.
With the series currently tied 2-2 between the Blues and Jets there will be at least two more game in the series.
If Ehlers continues to progress in the coming days he could potentially be able to return for a crucial elimination game to help propel the Jets to a round 2 berth.
As more news is provided on the health of Ehlers and other Jets stars we will pass the latest details along to you.
