Injury Updates Emerge on Mark Scheifele, Josh Morrissey, and Logan Stanley at Practice Today

Mark Scheifele, Josh Morrissey, and Logan Stanley returned to the ice Tuesday, skating in non-contact jerseys after all three sat out/left early in Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday.

Morrissey and Stanley skated with the first group in optional practice but left early. Scheifele remained for the full practice.

Scheifele, 32, had been out with an undisclosed injury that scratched him from Game 5 and withheld him from Games 6 and 7. Though Jets head coach Scott Arniel made him a game-time decision for Game 7, he was ruled out the following morning.

Scheifele recorded six points, two goals, and four assists through the five games he dressed for in the first-round series.

Morrissey left Game 7 with an upper-body injury after just 2:09 of ice time in the first period. He is day-to-day now and will be re-evaluated. The defenseman had three assists and put 11 shots on net in the series.

Stanley sat out Sunday's game with an undisclosed injury and didn't practice with the team Sunday morning. He had played in five of the seven games, with one shot and 10 hits.

The Jets open their second-round series with the Dallas Stars on Wednesday evening in Winnipeg. if the first round is any indication of what we can expect to see, fans better have their oxygen tanks on hand, as it will be a wild ride.
