Tonight Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti has taken a major shot at the NHLPA and several players for disrespecting the Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck. Throughout this season Connor Hellebuyck has undoubtedly been one of the best goalies in the NHL and has even been touted as a possible Hart Trophy Finalist. Hellebuyck has been a major key to the Winnipeg Jets taking the next step toward being a Stanley Cup favorite in the Western Conference. As a result, Hellebuyck has been mentioned by many in the media as not only the best goalie this season but also the most talented goalie in the NHL overall. This evening a new survey went out to the public done by the NHLPA discussing several topics including the best goaltender in the NHL. According to the poll, the overwhelming majority of players decided Andrei Vasilveskiy and Igor Shesterkin deserve the mantle of top goaltender.

Loading from Twitter ...

While Hellebuyck remains a respectable third on the list this still does not match the incredible season he has had and Jets forward Cole Perfetti decided to stick up for his fellow teammate.
Cole Perfetti Takes A Dig At The NHLPA Over Disrespect Toward Connor Hellebuyck
After the Jets morning skate today Cole Perfetti was asked about the NHLPA poll and also Hellebuyck's impact on the team this season. In his response, Perfetti took a major dig at the NHLPA revealing he does not believe the voters paid enough attention to the Winnipeg Jets this season.

Loading from Twitter ...

Clearly Perfetti and the Jets organization as a whole feel disrespected by the ranking for Hellebuyck and have decided to make a point and stand up for their MVP-level goalie ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. While Perfetti's comments will not change the voters' minds, they show a bond between the Jets players in the locker room that is more valuable than any award an individual can be given. As the Stanley Cup Playoffs approach it will be fun to see if Hellebuyck, Perfetti, and the Jets can turn this brotherhood of having one another's backs into a deep playoff run.
