A new report has indicated that the Vancouver Canucks were approached by multiple teams in regard to trades involving promising forward Aatu Raty.

This summer, the Vancouver Canucks have gone all in on trying to once again get back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The front office also made a couple of major moves trading for Evander Kane and signing Thatcher Demko and Brock Boeser to extension.
One position that remains a spot of weakness is the Canucks second-line center.
Currently, Filip Chytil is in line to get that opportunity but has struggled to stay healthy and fans have been expecting the team to make a trade for someone to challenge Chytil for that spot.
According to a new report, other teams have made offers centered around Aatu Raty that would likely have landed the team a quality player.

Canucks Reportedly Shut Down Trade Talks Centered Around Aatu Raty

In a new episode of Canucks Central hosted by Dan Riccio and Satiar Shah the duo discussed Raty's place in the Canucks lineup.
This is when Shah revealed that his sources indicated multiple teams inquired about the availability of Raty in a trade and were shut down.
I heard there were a couple of teams that checked in on Raty and tried to see if they could pry him away from Vancouver. I can't sit here and give you exact details but I heard from other teams the Canucks were reluctant to part with Aatu Raty.
If the Canucks were so reluctant to trade away Raty it could mean they have plans to play him in the top-six and maybe could even give him a try at center.
Raty in the past for the Canucks has mostly played on the wing but played center before being drafted into the NHL and was quite effective.
As training camp gets underway it will be fun to see if new head coach Adam Foote uses Raty at center or if he once again gets relegated to the wing.
