The hockey season is well underway and players around the world continue to solidify their future and today former NHLer Markus Granlund has done just that.

Over the last four seasons, Granlund has been playing in Switzerland for various clubs.
This year, Granlund is playing for Geneve-Servette and was heading into the final year of his contract with the team.
At 32-years-old, it was unclear what the future held for Granlund and whether or not his professional career was nearing its end after the 2025-2026 season.
Now, Granlund has secured his future signing a multi-year extension in Switzerland.

According to an announcement made by the team themselves Granlund has signed a two-year contract to remain with the club.
During his NHL career, Granlund played 335 games in the NHL and amassed over 100 points while being one of the better defensive centers in the league during that time.
