Conor Garland trade rumors just got louder, and it stings for a Vancouver Canucks team stuck in the mud.

On the Sekeres & Price show, Darren Dreger said he has not heard Jake DeBrusk’s name “out there a lot” lately.
But Dreger added Garland is absolutely a name other clubs have brought up.
That contrast matters because Vancouver is sitting at 18-33-6.
When your record looks like that, rivals stop calling about your “maybe,” and start calling about your “fits anywhere.”
Re Canucks: "Jake DeBrusk, I haven't heard his name out there a lot of late, but Conor Garland's name definitely is a name that other clubs have mentioned."

Garland fits anywhere because he plays like his skates are on fast-forward, even when the rest of the lineup looks heavy.
His boxcar line is 7-18-25, and he’s still creating enough chaos to tempt contenders hunting depth scoring.

Conor Garland puts the Vancouver Canucks on the clock

Honestly, the fanbase feels numb right now, like everyone is bracing for the next shoe to drop instead of hoping for a run.
The tricky part is value, because Garland is not a “sell for pennies” guy if you want the room to believe in a plan.
If Vancouver moves him, the return has to help the next version of the top-six, not just clear a spot.
DeBrusk’s season line sits at 13-15-28, and the lack of outside noise around him is its own signal.
It could mean teams see his role as more specific, or they think Vancouver cannot easily pivot with contracts and clauses involved.
Either way, Dreger putting Garland in the spotlight tells you which winger GMs are actually circling before the break.
Next game back, watch who gets leaned on at five-on-five, because usage often telegraphs intent before any trade call leaks.
