Canucks forward Vitali Kravtsov recently discussed changes that he's made to his game that he hopes will translate into NHL success in Vancouver this year.

Vitali Kravtsov is back in the NHL after he signed a 1 year, 2-way contract with the Vancouver Canucks. They still held his rights after he opted to return home to Russia to play in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk.
Taken with the 9th overall pick by the New York Rangers in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, he was eventually traded to the Canucks in February of 2023 in exchange for Will Lockwood and a 7th round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
He made sure to credit Traktor Chelyabinsk coach Benoit Groulx on helping him make adjustments to his game, which he hopes will have benefits on both offense and defense.
We had a French Canadian coach [Benoit Groulx]. I learned from him a lot about how to translate my game from there to here, just learned a lot about trying to be better defensively and offensively.

Kravtsov has 12 points (6G, 6A) in 64 career NHL games with the Rangers and Canucks.

Vitali Kravtsov trained with multiple Russian players during the summer

During his summer training, Kravtsov skated with multiple of his fellow Russians who are still in or have played in the NHL, including Igor Shesterkin, Kirill Kaprizov, and Evgeny Kuznetsov.
On Kaprizov:
Oh, [Kaprizov] is insane. He's just a beauty, off ice and on ice. I mean, every day you can ask him something, and he's going to help you.

Last year with Traktor Chelyabinsk, he had 58 points (27G, 31A) in 66 games.
