The Canucks are reportedly not done yet in the free agent market, as NHL insider Thomas Drance revealed they may still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

The Canucks have gone past the salary cap, but it did not deter this front office from reportedly continuing to scour the market going forward.
Vancouver is about $1 million over the cap ceiling at the present time, according to PuckPedia. If they will indeed go splash into free agency some more, the Canucks first have to create some space.

Almost all top-six free agent players have been signed by other teams already

There are some desirable names still floating loose, though most of the marquee players have signed contracts already, limiting the amount of skill currently available.
"Canucks' management isn't 'off to the cottage' quite yet.

"Hear the club is monitoring a couple of the UFA options still on the market. No surprise given their recent history."

Another player is centre Jack Roslovic. In his recent year with the Hurricanes, and at 28 years of age, he set a career high of 22 goals along with adding 39 points, the third-highest in his career. His latest one-year agreement carried a salary-cap hit of $2.8 million.
Defenceman Matt Grzelcyk is another one of several high-profile players still available on the market. Matt Grzelcyk totaled a career-best 40 points with the Pittsburgh Penguins last year, with 39 of them being assists.
Grzelcyk can handle heavy minutes manning the backdoor of an attack, a spot Vancouver can upgrade.
Other UFAs on the market include winger Victor Olofsson, winger Joel Kiviranta, and winger Luke Kunin, who can each be had for under $3.5 million.
So far this summer, Vancouver has added some depth with Mackenzie MacEachern, Jimmy Schuldt, and Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
These aren't necessarily huge signings, but there is still time and talent available for Vancouver to fill some of those roster needs before next year.
