Canucks insider confirms a J.T. Miller trade is close and a potential destination has been revealed

Over the last month trade reports have been flying surrounding the Vancouver Canucks, J.T. Miller, and Elias Pettersson.

Reported chemistry issues between the two superstars have dated back years and taken a toll on the Canucks locker room.

To this point the Canucks had held firm that they were not willing to trade Miller or Pettersson.

However, a new report from Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal now has indicated that a trade could be close with negotiations heating up.

While Miller has not been asked to waive his no-trade clause yet this is the closest that the situation has gotten to a completed trade.

A further report has revealed that at the moment the New York Rangers are the favorite to land Miller if he is traded.

Another report pointed out that the Hartford Wolfpack the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers healthy scratched several of their top prospects today.

This is highly unusual and with Miller's history in New York along with them being connected to him over the last month.

Miller throughout his career has been known as a player who plays with a lot of passion and can sometimes cross a line being too hard on teammates or the organization as a whole.

Despite those potential shortcomings Miller's talent is undeniable as he has put up 80+ points in each of the last three seasons topping out at 103 points last season.

If Miller is traded it will be fascinating to see what the return is and what the impact will be on the Canucks and their locker room going forward.
