Toronto Maple Leafs fans from all over have been let down yet again by their team. None beats this viral reaction after the Maple Leafs lost in yet another do-or-die game seven overtime in the playoffs to the Boston Bruins.

A comedian known as Rick Da Beaut Rowley on X (formerly Twitter) is seen in a video watching the Maple Leafs lose and immediately taking his jersey off to reveal an Edmonton Oilers jersey.


Many other videos show the fans who had their hearts broken as the Toronto Maple Leafs will wait another year for any potential playoff success. The team and their fans have very real playoff frustrations.


Seeing the reactions live outside of Scotiabank Arena just twists the knife more. This team finally got over the first-round dragon in 2023 only to fall behind to an old familiar foe.



Old habits die hard, and the Toronto Maple Leafs will extend their Stanley Cup drought that has lasted since 1967.

Until this team poses any real threat come playoffs, they will continue to be the laughing stock franchise that exits playoffs early and hits the golf course all off-season.

This core of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, William Nylander and Morgan Reilly will always draw comparisons to Edmonton's core. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Zach Hyman and Darnell Nurse have had far more playoff success than the Maple Leafs.

Maybe it's time for the Toronto Maple Leafs to make a drastic change this offseason. Time will tell what Brad Treliving does, but until then, fans will continue to melt down.
