This afternoon the NHL franchise formerly known as the Arizona Coyotes and soon to call Utah home made a roster move. This signing is their first since making the official move from Arizona to Utah.

This afternoon the Arizona Coyotes announced that they have signed forward Noel Nordh to an entry-level deal. With the sale of the team approved by the NHL to Ryan Smith this is the first signing by the team since officially going to Utah.

Noel Nordh was a 3rd round selection in 2023 by the Arizona Coyotes. He spent this season in Sweden in their 2nd tier professional division. In 50 games he tallied 15 points.

This signing for the Utah franchise is expected to be the first of many. The new owner Ryan Smith is rumored to be willing to spend to the salary cap to compete. With the Arizona Coyotes currently having one of the lowest payrolls the new group has plenty of room to work with.

As the offseason and free agency begins it will be fun to see how aggressive the Utah franchise will be in making their mark on the NHL.
