Brad Marchand takes final shot at the Maple Leafs in post-game comment

Brad Marchand was a thorn in the Toronto Maple Leafs' side the entire series this year, and he took one final shot at the Leafs and their fans with his post-game comments.

During the Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Boston Bruins series, Brad Marchand was front and center for his ability to get under the skin of Leafs players. He did such a great job of it that Sheldon Keefe made comments about it throughout the series regarding how good he is at getting calls.





After Marchand and the Bruins secured the game 7 win in overtime, eliminating the Leafs, Marchand made one final comment to sting the Leafs, saying that he and his team had the belief that they could win, stealing the rallying cry of Leaf fans who call on each other to 'BeLeaf' during the playoffs.




It's pretty likely that Marchand knew exactly what he was doing when making the comments, as that is just the type of player he is. While it's not anything that crosses the line, its just a subtle reminder to Leaf fans that the Bruins still have all the bragging rights in the world.

As for the Toronto Maple Leafs, its clear that their team will be undergoing even more changes this offseason, potentially starting at Sheldon Keefe.
