Anze Kopitar shares emotional moment with Kings fans after his final game in Los Angeles

Tonight, Anze Kopitar played his final game in Los Angeles with the Los Angeles Kings and after the game he delivered an emotional speech.
Anze Kopitar announced before the season began that this would be his final campaign in the NHL before retiring.
With the season winding down, the Kings took the ice for their final home game of the season against the Edmonton Oilers and what would be Kopitar’s final game in Los Angeles.
The Kings would go out and give Kopitar a night to remember winning 1-0 against the Oilers on a goal from Artemi Panarin.
After the game, Kopitar who was named the number one star took a microphone and delivered a message to the fans.

After taking the microphone, Kopitar delivered an emotional speech thanking all of the fans.
He began by admitting that he is hoping this is not his final game in Los Angeles as the Kings look to clinch a playoff spot in the coming days.
First of all thank you for supporting us through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Second of all, we are going to do our absolute best to come home for a couple more games.
Then, things turned personal for Kopitar as he spoke about how he considers Los Angeles home and then thanked the fans and the organization for their support over 20 NHL seasons.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much. This has been my home for 20 years. Thank you to the organization for supporting me all of these years.
Kopitar came to Los Angeles after being selected 11th overall in the NHL Draft and since then has gone on to be a two-time Stanley Cup champion and captain of the Kings.
After the win for Kopitar and the Kings, they jump back into the playoffs and are now one point ahead of the Nashville Predators in the wild card race.
With just three games to go, Kopitar and his teammates have their destiny in their control as they look to give their captain on more opportunity to go for a Stanley Cup.
