Two Oilers Players Have Just Went To The Most Unexpected Place In The World For A Unique Reason

Not everyone is headed to the 4 Nations on the Edmonton Oilers, and everyone requires a time-out every now and again. Even when you enjoy what you do, a time-out is called for to rest up, and that's exactly what has happened here.

As Connor McDavid, Viktor Arvidsson, and Mattias Ekholm gear up to meet each other in Wednesday night's 4 Nations Faceoff tourney, the rest of the team is getting their time to take a breather.

Two Oilers, Troy Stecher and Kasperi Kapanen, chose to take their time off in each other's company, jetting to Hawaii with their girlfriends in tow. Their game of choice was, of course, golf.

The two players documented their day on Instagram, sharing pictures and videos of their day at the beautiful Kapalua Plantation Course. Kapanen put up a series of nine photographs and videos, while Stecher offered highlights in his Instagram stories.

Good to know that teammates are forming bonds beyond the rink, a reminder that hockey players live beyond hockey.

Here's to a few rounds of golf keeping Troy and Kasperi from getting in too workaholic mode, and hopefully this much-needed vacation will get them back in tip-top shape for the grand finale of the NHL season.
