Elliotte Friedman reports Tristan Jarry (30, 2013 second-round pick by Pittsburgh) erupted at Kris Knoblauch's practice.

The goaltender is locked in at a $5.375M AAV through 2027-28, a heavy financial anchor for a team desperate for trade deadline flexibility.
He is supposed to provide veteran stability in the crease, but this massive locker room fracture forces management into a corner ahead of Wednesday.
Bob Stauffer also amplified the drama heavily during a recent segment on Oilers Now. He noted extraneous issues brewing behind the scenes and confirmed actual salvos were actively flying between players on the ice.
The absolute boiling point happened right after a miserable 7-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild.
"There's some extraneous things that have me quite concerned with Tristan," said Stauffer on Oilers Now. "I can read between the lines of what was going on on the ice yesterday in practice and there seemed to be some salvos flying. I didn't like that that Jarry, when the Oilers lost 7-3 to Minnesota, talked about how the team is playing defensively in front of him."

Jarry stood in front of the microphones and publicly criticized the defensive coverage playing in front of him.
"There's a lot of talk out there about Jarry got into it in practice with some of his teammates out there," said Friedman on the 32 Thoughts podcast. "It's been a hard year for the Oilers."

Losing The Edmonton Room

Pointing fingers at your own roster is an unforgivable offense in standard hockey culture.
Over his NHL career, Jarry has handled difficult stretches, but the intense pressure cooker in Alberta operates at maximum capacity.
The internal hostility from the skaters is entirely justified when you evaluate the raw production. Carrying a brutal .862 save percentage through 13 appearances in an Oilers sweater, the veteran is simply not holding up his end of the bargain.
A bloated 3.96 goals-against average is actively sinking the entire operation on a nightly basis.
Several defensemen went minus-3 during that Minnesota collapse, but they were repeatedly left out to dry.
You cannot demand crisp passing, better controlled entries, or solid execution from the blue line when the goaltending is completely non-existent.
Even when the elite forwards are held scoreless, you expect your highly paid netminder to step up. Edmonton is currently fighting for tight playoff positioning.
Dropping critical points in the standings because the netminder cannot make a timely save ruins a homestand incredibly fast. The roster needs him to shut the door, but instead he is busy starting fires during the morning skate.
