After Zach Hyman left last night's Oilers game with what appeared to be a brutal injury, sports doctor Harjas Grewal provided a somber verdict today on his status. Stars forward Mason Marchment took a run at Zach Hyman, <a href='https://www.hockeylatest.com/nhl-team/edmonton-oilers/edmonton-oilers-lose-key-forward-zach-hyman-to-injury-in-game-4' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>nowhere close to the puck in the neutral zone during last night's game.</a> <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/BR_OpenIce/status/1927524342361137247'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> Following the game, TSN insider Ryan Rishaug reported that Hyman was outside the Oilers locker room hanging out with teammates, but his condition didn't look good. Leon Draisaitl appeared to be sympathetic to Hyman, further adding to the worry. Oilers coach Knoblauch refused to answer Hyman's status, but did say he'll have more information today. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/friedgehnic/status/1927566922175897872'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> The first sign that this could be a long-term injury was the fact that Hyman was unable to return to play. Having a reputation for one of the hardest-working players in the league, only a very bad injury could hold him out at this point in the playoffs. <a href='https://www.nhl.com/oilers/player/zach-hyman-8475786' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Hyman</a> appeared to be immediately in pain after the awkward hit. He dropped his stick and rushed down the tunnel, with his right arm dangling, which was an ugly sight to see. Mason Marchment could be facing supplemental discipline from the NHL Player Safety Department, and we may have more information on that today, too. <h3>Hyman may have suffered a shoulder dislocation</h3> According to Online Sports Doctor Harjas Grewal, a shoulder dislocation could be the main concern for Hyman. Surprisingly, though, this could only keep him out day-to-day, and he could play with a sling, although some players could be out three weeks. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/harjas_grewal/status/1927543531901682169'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/harjas_grewal/status/1927543537496916153'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> Hyman is a key player for the Oilers, and losing him from the top-six group would be irreplaceable at this time of year. The Oilers don't seem to be positive on his condition at the moment, but hopefully, Hyman can get back into the lineup as soon as possible.
