Kris Knoblauch provides an update on Jake Walman's expected return

Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has provided a key update on the status of defenseman Jake Walman, who has been limited to 17 games so far this year.
For most of this year, the Edmonton Oilers have been without defenseman Jake Walman, who has benefited limited to only 17 total games.
But it looks ike the Oilers are on the verge of welcoming him back to the ice before long based on the latest update from head coach Kris Knoblauch.
Per Oilers analyst Jason Gregor, the hope of Edmonton is that Walman will be able to make it back at some point on the upcoming road trip.
Spoke to Walman today and his bone has finally healed and he just needs doctor's clearance to play.

In the 17 games he's played, Walman has 10 points (3G, 7A).
The Oilers Acquired Jake Walman From The San Jose Sharks Last Year
Walman, who began last season with the San Jose Sharks, was traded to the Oilers at the Trade Deadline for Carl Berglund and a conditional first round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
Walman and the Oilers would make a second straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final, where they would lose once again to the Florida Panthers, who won their second straight Stanley Cup.
Edmonton general manager Stan Bowman then signed Walman to a seven year extension with an AAV (average annual value) of $7 million, keeping him in Edmonton through 2032.
He has 101 points (35G, 66A) in 284 career NHL games.
