Today, Sportsnet is once again under fire for having issues with their streaming platform for the NHL this time involving the Edmonton Oilers. The Edmonton Oilers are out East today playing against the New Jersey Devils and Jack Hughes. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/_hughesupdates/status/1979625480405032986'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> This matchup of massive stars from both teams is many fans' most anticipated game of the day that they are tuning in to see. As a result, many fans in Canada were hoping to use their Sportsnet subscription to be able to stream the game. However, fans were reportedly met with disappointment after tuning into the feed advertised as Oilers and Devils that actually ended up being the end of the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers game. The mixup from Sportsnet has led to a ton of outrage from fans not getting the product they hoped for. <h3>Fans Enraged After Missing Oilers Game Due to Sportsnet Mixup</h3> Multiple fans took to social media to share their displeasure and at times outright hatred for Sportsnet who has a reputation for issues like this. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/kevinmccurdy/status/1979634682913534308'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/brockwharrison/status/1979633835626422390'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/theweirdestfish/status/1979633779963752484'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/cturnnidge/status/1979634727230525931'><div style='border:1px solid #CCCCCC;border-radius:10px;padding:20px;width:300px;'>Loading from Twitter ...</div></a></blockquote></div> The mixup reportedly led fans to miss the first several minutes of the Oilers game before it was eventually fixed and the right game was broadcast to those hoping to watch the Oilers. Currently, the game is still locked at 0-0 about halfway through the first period as the Oilers look to find consistency after and up and down first five games. With the issue not resolved it will be interesting to see if Sportsnet put out a statement addressing the mishap or completely ignore the situation and fan complaints.
