This evening, former NHLer for the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks Ryan Spooner has signed a new contract overseas in the KHL. The NHL offseason is coming to a close with training camp just around the corner which means players are finalizing which team they will play with next season. NHL jobs are difficult to come by which means many players who have NHL pedigree will end up in Europe playing in various leagues. The last two seasons of Spooner's career came split between the Canucks and Oilers.
