Last night, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard had a dominant performance cementing himself alongside Bobby Orr in NHL history.
The Edmonton Oilers came out last night against the Washington Capitals looking to snap a two game losing streak and get back on track in the standings.
The Oilers came out clicking on all cylinders offensively with a six-goal performance three of which came from Evan Bouchard who ended the night with a six point performance overall.
Bouchard became the first defenseman in 40 years to record a six-point game in the NHL.
With this performance, Bouchard also entered elite company becoming the second player in history to accomplish an impressive offensive feat alongside Hall of Famer Bobby Orr.

With his six point game, Bouchard joins Bruins Hall of Famer Bobby Orr as the only two defensemen with six points and eight shots in a single game in NHL history.
Evan Bouchard joins Bobby Orr as the only defenceman in NHL history to record six points and eight shots on goal in a single game.
With this performance, Bouchard now has 55 points in 53 games for the Oilers putting him on pace for by far the best season of his career.
Bouchard has especially been on an absolute tear since being left off of the Canadian Olympic Team.
With Bouchard entering the history books it will be fascinating to see how he follows up and tries to improve upon such an incredible performance.
