Connor Ingram starts for the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday vs the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Andrew Mangiapane draws back in with heat rising.

This feels like a "right now" decision, not a long-view one.

Bob Stauffer says Ingram gets the crease and Mangiapane replaces Curtis Lazar.

Ingram’s season line is tidy at 6-3-1, 2.55 GAA, .901 save percentage.

He’s 28, a 2016 third-round pick by the Nashville Predators, and he’s playing on a $1.95M cap hit that runs through 2025-26.
