The Edmonton Oilers' nightmare injury situation has continued tonight as now starting goaltender Stuart Skinner has been removed from the game due to injury.

With Leon Draisaitl already out with an unspecified injury coming into the game the Oilers are without two of the best players in the world and now their goaltender Stuart Skinner has been pulled after suffering an injury on a dangerous collision.
The injury sustained on a collision in the crease left Skinner shaken and eventually, the concussion spotters decided that he needed to be removed from the game for his own safety.
Skinner was not at all pleased to be removed from the game due to this collision with Jets forward Gabe Vilardi.
As of now, it remains unclear exactly what the diagnosis for Skinner is or how serious of an injury he has sustained.
Either way within the last 24 hours the Oilers have been transported into a nightmare just 8 points clear of the last wild card spot with now their two best players and starting goalie injured.
All eyes will now be on head coach Kris Knoblauch following the game as he will have several major injury updates to provide as he tries to calm the nerves of the locker room and the Oilers fan base.
As more information is provided on the Oilers' mass of injuries we will pass along the latest details.
