Originally selected in the third-round as the 67th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, Regula has already seen his career take a series of turns for different organizations. Regula was traded to Chicago in 2019 and signed a three-year entry-level contract with them. He debuted in May of 2021 in the NHL. In three seasons in Chicago, he has played in 22 games and skated in a total of 108 games with Chicago's AHL affiliate, scoring a total of 12 goals and 39 assists. Regula was traded to Boston in June of 2023 and played for AHL Providence in 2023-24 with four goals, 22 assists, and a stellar +36 rating before he was placed on injured reserve prior to the 2024-25 season.
