The Oilers are set to welcome back Jake Walman and Tristan Jarry tonight, as both players have been activated off long-term injured reserve.
The Edmonton Oilers activated goalie Tristan Jarry and defenseman Jake Walman from long-term injured reserve. The team has made some changes as forward Adam Henrique has been moved to LTIR.
Goalkeeper Connor Ingram has been changed from emergency recall to regular recall.
What the Oilers did to kick off their Dads Trip
Edmonton, which started its Dads Trip with an opening 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, hopes to end the night on a positive note with tonight's game against the Nashville Predators.
The Oilers came out ready to play after the lineup was read by Richard Nurse in the locker room. Ingram found his rhythm and finished with 29 saves on the night.
He improved to 4-2-1 on the year and has a 1.95 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage in the past three games, including a 24-save victory in a 6-2 win over Nashville last week.
Zach Hyman scored the first goal of the game in the first period, as Evan Bouchard added two goals and an assist, including the game-winner at 16 seconds into the second period. Bertuzzi breached the shutout with under two minutes left, but Edmonton held on.
Why today is a very special day for Connor McDavid
Captain Connor McDavid, celebrating his 29th birthday today, picked up two assists and has points in 16 consecutive games vs. Nashville (13 goals, 26 assists). He's also in pursuit of his best-ever streak of 20 games with points (19 goals, 25 assists).
If Jarry and/or Walman are to return to the Oilers lineup, the team can receive the boost needed to pass the second installment of the Dads Trip with back-to-back victories.
