Connor McDavid Mysteriously Leaves Oilers Practice Early After Discussion With Training Staff
This afternoon Connor McDavid has set off panic across social media as he left practice early after a discussion with training staff.
The Edmonton Oilers are preparing for revenge in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Florida Panthers.
Heading into the Stanley Cup Finals the Oilers will already be without forward Zach Hyman who suffered a wrist injury.
After last year's heartbreaking loss for the Oilers they need to be as stacked as possible to get over the final hill.
Unfortunately, it seems that might not be the case, as yet another potential injury has come about this afternoon things have taken a worrying turn again as Connor McDavid left practice early.
Connor McDavid Leaves Oilers Practice Early After Conversation With Training Staff
According to multiple reports this afternoon, McDavid was seen during practice having a lengthy discussion with the training staff.
After that discussion, he left the ice skating for just 10 minutes of the Oilers 40 minute practice.
While it remains unknown whether McDavid is dealing with an injury at the moment the optics of this are not good heading into the Stanley Cup Finals against the Florida Panthers.
With the Oilers already down Hyman and other players reportedly not playing at full strength they cannot afford to lose McDavid as well.
Luckily, the Oilers still have several days before Game 1 on Wednesday for McDavid to get his health potentially sorted out.
After practice, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch will likely address the media and give an update on McDavid's health and status for Game 1.
As those updates are provided by McDavid and the Oilers we will pass along the latest news.
