St. Louis Blues' Robert Thomas was with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl when they learned about the offer sheets. He shared how they reacted in a recent interview.

The Edmonton Oilers lost two key players to the St. Louis Blues when general manager Doug Armstrong filed two offer sheets for Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg.
An interesting detail about the whole situation just emerged from the NHL/NHLPA Player Media Tour.
Robert Thomas, forward for the St. Louis Blues, shared in an interview that he was with multiple Oilers players, including Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, when they learned about the offer sheets.
In a post on X, Matt Larkin wrote that the two players "weren't too happy" after hearing the news, according to Thomas.
Check it out:
Losing teammates is never easy, especially good ones. Both Holloway and Broberg could have been an important part of the Oilers' future, but the Blues came in the way of that happening. After a tough loss in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Florida Panthers, it must have been an even harder loss for the players.
The Oilers will still be one of the top teams in the NHL next season, thanks to the management's clever offseason acquisitions, such as Viktor Arvidsson, Jeff Skinner, and Matthew Savoie.
