Last night Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks took on the Flyers. Connor Bedard sporting his bubble helmet went into the corner. He was crushed into the boards but luckily saved from serious injury by his helmet.

As Connor Bedard skated full speed into the corner after a loose puck his teammate Jason Dickinson as well as Flyer defenseman Travis Sanheim also pursued the puck.

All three players reached the puck at the same time Jason Dickinson hit Travis Sanheim who then fell into Connor Bedard. Once Connor Bedard was hit his head went flying into the boards. Luckily his bubble shield stopped him from bashing his face on the wall.

He would get up slowly and stay in the game. The only reason that Connor Bedard got out of that situation unscathed is due to an injury he suffered earlier in the year. Connor Bedard of course broke his jaw just after the new year against the New Jersey Devils. Now thanks to the plastic bubble helmet that he is familiar with wearing during his time in the WHL and at World Juniors he can continue his rookie campaign.

Connor Bedard has just 8 games left in his rookie season to finish out his resume for the Calder Trophy. In his 60 games played this season, he has 57 points including 21 goals. It will be fun to see just how much he can do in these last handful of games.
