USHL Hands Out Longest Suspension In League History
Omaha Lancers defenseman David Posma was in a tough situation earlier this week when Sioux City Musketeers forward Kaden Shahan has gotten past the defense with an empty net. Surely he would score to secure the victory for Sioux City. However, before he could do that, Posma decided it was a good time to slash Shahan repeatedly until he gave up his pursuit of the empty net goal. The play was completely unnecessary and especially violent, with clear intention to injure the Musketeers forward.
Posma Becomes Repeat Offender With New Suspension From USHL
This is not the first time Posma has gotten himself in trouble for this kind of behavior either. He has already been suspended multiple times this season, including once for illegal head contact.
By the time Posma's current suspension expires, the Lancers will have just seven games left in the season. Hopefully he will be able to get through those games without another unacceptable incident.
