Everyone knows that hockey is a dangerous sport. Accidents happen and injuries are often unavoidable. However, sometimes players simply lose their minds and do violence on the ice for no reason other than to cause harm to another player. This is exactly what happened recently in the USHL. <h2>USHL Hands Out Longest Suspension In League History</h2> Omaha Lancers defenseman David Posma was in a tough situation earlier this week when Sioux City Musketeers forward Kaden Shahan has gotten past the defense with an empty net. Surely he would score to secure the victory for Sioux City. However, before he could do that, Posma decided it was a good time to slash Shahan repeatedly until he gave up his pursuit of the empty net goal. The play was completely unnecessary and especially violent, with clear intention to injure the Musketeers forward. <q>Omaha's David Posma has been suspended 17 games for slashing Kaden Shahan.
