One of the 'Great One's' Records broke last night by Evander Kane

When you think of Wayne Gretzky's records, most of them seem untouchable. Things like 50 goals in 39 games and the all-time points records are ones that will never ever be broken. However, with a hat trick last night, Oilers forward Evander Kane broke an impressive record held by Wayne Gretzky.

Evander Kane has Become the Fastest to 5 Hat Tricks as an Edmonton Oiler

Last night when Evander Kane scored his third goal of the night, this marked his fifth hat trick with his time with the Oilers, and he did it in only 130 games compared to Wayne's 136. Although it isn't a major record, I'm sure that Kane is very pleased to have taken a record a way from Wayne Gretzky, a feat that not many can say they accomplished.
It's not every day we witness hockey history occur, so congratulations to Evander Kane on the amazing achievement!
