Today news has come down revealing the suspension that Winnipeg Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon has been given.

Dillon Suspended For Nasty Hit On Penguins Forward

Last night chaos broke loose due to the actions of Jets forward Brendon Dillon. Dillon stepped up on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Noel Acciari and elbowed him in the head.
Since the hit, Dillon has learned his fate through a phone hearing with the Department of Player Safety.
After the conclusion of the hearing, it has been announced that Dillon will be suspended for 3 games due to his hit on Acciari.
Dillon and the Jets can now appeal this suspension and see if they can get it reduced. If not Dillon will have to serve the entire suspension and the Jets will need to fill the hole left in the lineup.
If any news of an appeal comes out we will provide that update to you.
