The sale of the Senators has a direct impact on the Canadiens
The sale will take time and will have a direct impact on Geoff Molson and the Montreal Canadiens, since Andlauer owns 10% of the Tricolore.
The businessman therefore needs to find a buyer for his shares and sell them, which doesn't happen overnight. The question is: who will buy Andlauer's shares?
Michael Andlauer currently owns a minority share of the Montreal Canadiens and is a member of the NHL's board of governors.
He will now have to sell his 10 per cent share in the Canadiens.
He also owns the Hamilton Bulldogs.#GoHabsGo @HabsUnfiltered https://t.co/JFB9WzQtZG- Matt Smith (@Snakebite350) June 13, 2023
So Geoff Molson has a decision to make that could impact his future as well as that of the Habs. He has the option of more shares or a new partner.
