We just learned what the acquisition price would be for Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews.

According to information provided by Sportsnet tipster Elliotte Friedman, the veteran center would only cost a second and third round pick to the team that acquires him.
According to Friedman, he was told by several teams that this would be the price for Toews.
But if that's the right price to add a three-time Stanley Cup winner, one of the best defensive centers in the league and also one of the great leaders of his era, there's absolutely no doubt that it will have an impact on the value of Sean Monahan, who was thought to be a potential first-round pick for the Habs.
In 41 games this season, the 34-year-old forward has 12 goals and 25 points.
Monahan, who has already missed more than six weeks with a foot injury that could negatively affect his market value, has six goals and 17 points in 25 games.
If the CH #91 can return to form before the trade deadline, there is no doubt that the Toews trade will have a direct impact on Monahan's value by March 3rd.
