Paul Bissonnette Reveals Why Sidney Crosby and Jack Johnson Got Kicked Out of Their High School Baseball Team

Many hockey players grew up participating in various sports, with some joining teams naturally while others were encouraged to do so. Sidney Crosby and Jack Johnson were both told to take up a summer sport and reluctantly joined their high school baseball team. However, their time on the team was short.

During a recent interview between Paul Bissonnette and Jack Johnson, Biznasty asked for Johnson's permission to share the story of how both players were kicked off their high school team. Johnson agreed, stating that he had "served his time." Bissonnette explained that the incident occurred when Johnson was hit by a pitch and his hockey instincts kicked in, causing him to charge the mound. Johnson was able to handle both the pitcher and first baseman, while Crosby tackled the catcher.

Both players were asked to return their uniforms the following day, but they have gone on to successful hockey careers, with both winning Stanley Cup championships. However, it does raise the question of whether either Johnson or Crosby could have pursued a career in Major League Baseball. Watch the full story here:
