P.K. Subban is involved in a huge controversy without meaning to and it REALLY doesn't go over well with the public

We then learned that the former Canadiens defenseman had pushed back until 2025 to find the funds to fulfill his promise. Given the past three difficult years due to the pandemic, we can easily understand that this was a very difficult time for fundraising.
The newly retired NHLer even mentioned that he wants to continue his partnership for the long term, even after he has raised the full amount for 2025.
Now, even though Subban has managed to raise more than $6.3M of the $10M pledged since 2015, the Journal de Montreal absolutely did not stop itself from stirring up a huge controversy by directly attacking the former CH number 76 in today's front page of the paper.
The reactions on social media related to this attack on Subban's generosity really don't pass, and with good reason.
It makes no sense to judge and use the media platform to publish an "investigation" in order to sensationalize and get sales from these outrageous publications that lack humanity.
It is totally unfair to judge so harshly a person who wants to contribute to the improvement of our children's lives, and not just anywhere, but here, in Montreal.
What a terrible piece of journalism!
Do you think it is unfair to judge P.K. Subban on his generosity in raising the funds he promised that are taking longer than expected?
