It went viral a few days ago. Martin St. Louis was asked a question about Sean Farrell and he answered that it was a question for Kent Hughes.

A reporter then followed up and St-Louis really didn't seem to like it.
And Michel Therrien came back on the situation in a column on TVA Sports. According to him, it is the journalist who is at fault, not the coach:
"In my opinion, this journalist crossed the line. You can't ask the boss if he's the one making the decisions. You could see in St. Louis' eyes that he didn't appreciate that remark. And I can understand that. There was really no need to embarrass him like that. It was an insulting question. Besides, Martin had already offered an answer."

Therrien even adds that in his opinion, the journalist would not have dared to ask this question to John Tortorella.
He also mentions that the coach and the journalist probably spoke again a little later, once the dust had settled and that the situation is probably resolved.
And when it comes to Martin's reaction and his rather intense look thanks, Therrien had this to say:
"I'm behind Martin 100%. I think he reacted the right way. He did the right thing by not going any further with his response. Personally, I don't know how I would have taken it if I had been in his shoes."

It must also be said that the season is coming to an end in Montreal and it's starting to be time for it to end. The CH isn't playing for much right now and the injury situation isn't helping either. St. Louis meets with the media almost every day and it can get redundant. Add to that the fatigue of an 82-game schedule and it can make for some dry answers in the media availability.
