Connor McDavid had a rough game against the Boston Bruins and is now back in Toronto seeming frustrated. It seems that his recent performance was one of his poorest this season, and it's gotten to his head.

McDavid Seems Flustered in Toronto

It is not often that McDavid gets to participate in a Saturday game in Toronto, so it's understandable that he would like to have many friends and family members in attendance to see him play live.
As a native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, McDavid is somewhat of a local legend.
«It's always special, a little bit; it's Saturday night,» McDavid told Oilers TV on Friday. «They always have us playing here on a Monday or a Wednesday or something like that, so it's fun that it's on a Saturday."

«I don't have a ton going on (in Toronto), most of my family has moved away and I have buddies that are out and abroad. There is not a ton going on for me, my brother is away as well, so not a lot of people are circling it on their calendar. I'm just having dinner with my mom and that's about it. It shouldn't be bad at all.»

This quote seems to suggest that McDavid is feeling lonely, but in combination with his recent subpar performance against Boston, he appears to be genuinely flustered.
«When we play the right way and do the right things, we can play with anybody,» McDavid said. «That's a really good team (Bruins) in a tough building, under some tough circumstances. Going down 2-0 after one is not ideal; it's not a recipe to win against anyone, let alone a team like that.

«We stuck with it, it was a great team win. It's big to show to each other and ourselves when we play the right way and do the right things, we're dialled into our details, we can play with anyone.»

The it's not a recipe to win against anyone is particularly concerning, especially since the Oilers have a tendency to trail behind their opponents.
Hearing stuff like this from a team captain is far from ideal.
