Jake Allen wants to accomplish something special before he retires and we wish him luck

He really gives his team a chance to win every game, much to the disappointment of those who dream of Connor Bedard.
Despite the fact that the team in front of him is mostly made up of young players or players from the American League, he is seriously good in net.
Now 32 years old, with a Stanley Cup ring in his pocket, number 34 of the CH knows that he has fewer and fewer years left in his career.
He said he wants to stay here to help rebuild this team, knowing full well that he will probably never reap the rewards of a contending team's return to Montreal.
In fact, in an interview with Sportsnet reporters Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek, the veteran Tricolore goaltender admitted that he had a fantasy he hoped to fulfill before he hung up his pads.
He would like to score a goal in a game.
Wow, we love it!
The latter would definitely check that box off his bucket list. He even admitted that he might start being more aggressive soon in hopes of achieving the feat. Allen also said he has the support of his head coach Martin St. Louis to take a chance if the opportunity presents itself to him during a game.
We wish him the best of luck in achieving this very nice career goal. Fans won't complain about seeing the first goal by a Montreal goalie since Jose Theodore in 2001.
Could he try it this year?
With the Habs' season now meaningless, it wouldn't be surprising to see Allen try his luck in one of the remaining 18 games. However, the club would have to be able to get a lead at the end of the game for him to take a chance.
