Jake Allen just proved that he is a great leader by making a strong gesture that says a lot

The Montreal Canadiens ate a solid slap to the face yesterday against the Florida Panthers.

It was a disastrous performance for everyone, including Jake Allen, who wasn't even supposed to play, as he wasn't designated for the game. However, after three goals on the Panthers' first six shots, #34 came on in relief of Samuel Montembeault.

Unfortunately, it was a disaster for him, too, as he allowed six goals on 18 shots, giving him a .667 save percentage.

The day after this bitter setback, after the Tricolore's practice, we witnessed a rather surprising scene involving the latter.

After such a night, in most cases, athletes prefer to flee the media rather than face the storm, especially in Montreal, where a storm can become a hurricane for the players.

But that was not the case for Jake Allen.

He was even the first to face the reporters, and he answered all the questions. As a good veteran, he took the blame for his poor performance, even though the defense was atrocious. He didn't back down, and he really showed a great attitude.

That is exactly the kind of intangible he can bring to this young team. He acted as a true leader, and that's the kind of individual you want to surround your young core with.

We love Jake's strength of character!
