I think we're all looking forward to seeing young Logan Mailloux in action. Since his selection in 2021, we've heard a lot of good things about his game, but we haven't yet had the chance to see him in action. We know that for him to play in the NHL, Mailloux must meet Gary Bettman, but the commissioner wanted to wait until the young defenseman was knocking on the NHL's doors. Well, a decision has been made, and Mailloux has indeed met with Bettman. No, there's no verdict from the commissioner, but if the Habs staff sent Mailloux to meet Bettman, it's because the defenseman is in the plans for this year. This is where it gets really interesting. It was the Habs who had to make the request to Bettman, and to do so, the CH had to have good reason to believe that Mailloux could play in the NHL. We don't want to pretend that the young defenseman will play this season with the big club, but let's just say that if he's ready, the steps will have been taken accordingly.
