Expert reveals where Juraj Slafkovsky would be drafted if he were in the 2023 draft

To illustrate just how solid the 2023 edition is, The Athletic's prospect expert Scott Wheeler did a very interesting what if scenario in trying to place the first overall pick in the last draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, in the upcoming draft class.
It must be said that the result is very surprising.
First of all, according to Wheeler, Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli and Matvei Michkov would have all been drafted first overall in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 drafts, ahead of Alexis Lafreniere, Owen Power and Juraj Slafkovsky.
The latter also suggests that Leo Carlsson, who is expected to be drafted in the top four in 2023, would also have been drafted before Alexis Lafrenière and before Juraj Slafkovsky.
See the exact position where the big Slovak of the Tricolore would have been selected, if he had been part of the next draft.
This gives a very good idea of the excellent caliber of the 2023 draft, while Slafkovsky, who was the first pick in the 2022 draft, would have waited until the 9th pick to hear his name called in the next draft.
Of course, fans are all dreaming about the addition of Connor Bedard to the Habs' uniform, especially after his amazing performances at the last World Junior Championship.
However, in light of these Wheeler rankings, we can note that the CH could potentially add two prospects this summer who are technically better than their first overall pick in 2022, thanks to their two first-round selections in 2023 with their own pick and Florida's.
Currently, the Tricolore have the 6th and 10th overall picks.
