At the start of the season, the Flames and NHL analysts believed that Brad Treliving had rescued the team from disaster by bringing in Nazem Kadri, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Mackenzie Weegar to replace Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk.

Despite high expectations of being Pacific Division favorites, the Flames are currently outside of the playoffs, trailing the Winnipeg Jets by 4 points.
Throughout the season, reports from Calgary have revealed ongoing issues between players and Head Coach Darryl Sutter. Jonathan Huberdeau's agent, Allan Walsh, previously criticized Sutter's coaching methods, and now it seems that another newly-acquired player, Nazem Kadri, has also had problems with Sutter.
After the Flames' recent 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars, things reportedly boiled over for Kadri.
Nazem Kadri has been very vocal about what he's seen in Calgary this season and why they aren't firing on all cylinders

He's been very blunt about the communication between players and the coach.

Frustration boiled over on Saturday night.

Nazem Kadri became increasingly frustrated when he was benched for the majority of the third period and the entire overtime period. This ultimately led to his outburst.
Considering his past reputation for causing issues within teams, it's worth asking whether Nazem Kadri's recent outburst was a result of a coach holding him accountable or if he's reverting back to his previous "liability" status from his time in Toronto. However, Kadri seemed to have moved beyond that reputation during his time with the Avalanche last season.
